This jacket delivers!!! I wore it today in 30degree weather with 12 mph winds and gusts, a thermal base layer underneath with a wicking long sleeve layer next to my skin. On my legs I wore the PI Elite Softshell Cycling tight, wool socks, and PI softshell full booties over my shoes. On my hands, cold weather riding gloves. Yes, it was technically freezing outside, but I was not feeling it. No wind passed through my jacket and the jacket is longer than it appears on the model. To my surprise, the jacket came more than halfway down my backside so that even leaning over the handlebars, my rear was not exposed. On the contrary, that large muscle group stayed warm the entire ride thanks to the long length of the jacket. Also, the jacket sleeve length is plenty long. I have long arms and my wrists were covered and happy. This jacket feels light weight out of the package, but the technology kicks in within 5 minutes on the bike. For sure, but definitely not a surprise, I got my money's worth with this purchase. For comparison's sake: I am a 14W with a coke bottle shape and the XXL fit me perfectly. Having moved up North and for the first time ever needing cold weather cycling gear to ride year 'round, you all do not disappoint. My heartfelt thanks.This jacket is very well constructed. I bought this because I needed a warm, yet thin jacket so I could continue to ride my bike this fall. It was on sale for $50, what a great deal for the quality!! The outer shell is made of a good quality textured material and the inside is made of thin, fleece-type material that keeps your body temperature well sealed. It really kept me warm when riding my bike this fall. I was wearing it even when it was in the low 40s - high 30s with just a shirt underneath it. Sometimes, I get to warm when riding my bike with this jacket, I wish it had zippers under the armpits to help cool me off (that would be a great design idea to consider on this jacket). The style is also super cool. I love how the wrist is cut in an angle and of course the back is longer (designed for biking) to make sure your back is covered when you're hunched on your bike. The geometric designs on the sleeves and on the back are feminine, yet, cool enough to make you look tough; plus, they are also reflective! It has several functional pockets on the back where you could safely store just about anything (it has a zipper). I've also used this during cold runs. It's a great purchase overall. I'm a happy biker/runner :)I returned this to get the Elite 180 instead because once I saw it in person, I knew I'd get too hit in it. I definitely run hot when I'm winter mountain biking/fat biking/snowshoeing. The 180 version solves this problem by adding a more breathable material to the back panel. There are also more pockets available in the Elite 180. This specific jacket looked great and felt great and I even considered keeping it as a casual jacket but really needed to invest that money into a better riding jacket!Great looking jacket.I love this jacket! I brought it to keep me warm as my commute to work increased by an extra 10klm's per day. Now that the temperature is between 0 and 4 degrees this jacket is perfect. I just wear a long sleeve t-shirt under and I'm perfect. When temperatures are above 8degrees I get a bit warm and have to unzip. That is the only down fall with this jacket it's not very breathable so once you get your body heat up, you warm up pretty quickly. I feel the cold so I am very happy with this purchase for a freezing winter. It fits snug with the arms long enough to pull over my gloves so there no gaps.
